Don't worry, if you just clicked on an update from the Daybreak! #1 campaign, I'm not just cutting and pasting here. My fingers are flying over the keyboard this morning tothh deliver you a piping hot, fresh update.

The basic message is the same, obviously. The final issue of Daybreak!, our massive double-sized conclusion, is now live on Kickstarter. 

The feedback that we got from those of you that backed issue #3 was overwhelmingly positive--and thanks for that! One of the greatest feelings in the world is to know that you're enjoying reading the book as much as we are making it. Let me tell you something, and this is not hyperbole: the first three issues were just an appetizer for this main course. 

How beautiful are these pages from Stefan, right? Why does Doc Matter have a beard? What the heck happened to Daybreak since #3 ended?!? Do you love Bobo The Custodian as much as we do??? Because as part of this campaign, Rich Stahnke and I have produced a special 8-page back up story featuring Bobo, to be included as a stretch goal (and make the book even larger than double-sized).

Everything we've been painstakingly setting up pays off in ways you'll never see coming in our final issue and we hope you'll come back and join us for the last chapter. It's been a long wait but we're super happy to announce that the prelaunch page for Daybreak! #4, our massive, over 50-page conclusion to the series, has JUST GONE LIVE!

Daybreak! was never intended to become the flagship project for New Pain (The Switch/Electricia was) but since the first issue launched, Laura Luz took on a life of her own, both because Stefan Tosheff and I fell in love with the character and, more importantly, so did all of you that have been backing and supporting this project. 

We're working overtime to deliver a conclusion that won't let you down, with awesome variant covers from Doug Mahnke, Netho Diaz (above), Pat Olliffe, The Mysterious Fahna and Tom Nguyen, who is not only supplying his usual NSFW "adults-only" cover for #4 but also drawing a retroactive NSFW cover to #1, so you guys that requested the adult content can have a complete set. On top of that, there are a ton more surprises to be unveiled over the course of the campaign.  

We're killing ourselves to go out with a bang and we hope you'll join us on this last leg of the journey. Remember that page of Daybreak! #4 I shared last week? It looks even better in color!

Really excited about the progress we're making with the final issue so forgive the oversharing. 

And also, shameless plug, the campaign for the  NEW PAIN TWO-IN-ONE winds up in just a couple of hours. We'd love if you checked it out; NPC JUMP #1 is the start of our next major series post-Daybreak! (and also ties in in an unexpected way) and UNCOVERED #1 will just make your eyes do the happy dance.

Daymakers!

Our latest campaign, the NEW PAIN TWO-IN-ONE featuring NPC JUMP #1 and UNCOVERED #1 has entered its final week. If you've been meaning to check it out, now is a great time; we've just added several cool "final week" rewards: remarks by guest artists, sketch cover commissions and more, to close the show with a bang. 

We've also teamed up with the esteemed Michael Katz, whose  METAL HEAD 2 campaign is also heading into its final lap. Backers of both our campaigns will receive, absolutely free, these two team up prints featuring characters from both books!

If you find these projects interesting, we'd love to have you join the party. Also, if you happen to see posts on social media, please like and share! As always, sharing in particular goes a long way to defeating the stifling algorithms to reach new sets of eyes.

Now how about a little Daybreak! #4 update? Stefan and I are working diligently on the final, double-sized issue and are looking at launching the pre-order campaign in the 2nd half of January, when the book is done and everyone's had time to recover from the holidays. We've got variant covers by Patrick Oliffe, Netho Diaz and the Mysterious Fahna lined up and Tom Nguyen is working away at not only an "adults only" cover to the final issue, but a retro-adults only cover to issue #1 to create a complete set. 

I've never worked harder on any project, wearing so many different hats, as I have on Daybreak! and I'm so excited (and will be so relieved) to have it finished and available to all of you. Here's a sneak peek at page 1, for the first time ever, to give you a hint of what's coming down the pike. 

Expect the unexpected. Twists, turns, reveals and more. And please take a look at THE NEW PAIN TWO-IN-ONE. Not only will NPC JUMP eventually tie into Daybreak! in an unexpected way, it's an interactive comic book that dares you to outwit the creative team. I'm not that witty so it should be easy, right?

A brief note this morning to inform you that last night, the New Pain Two-In-One campaign featuring NPC JUMP #1 and UNCOVERED #1 had a surprise launch. What can I say, we got a little excited when Andrew Dalhouse turned the colors in for this Freddie Williams III variant cover and next thing you know, buttons were being pushed.
